Boys’ Swimming dives in

There is no off season for swimmers because most participate in club swimming. Seniors George Durin and Carter Kramer, who swim for Washington and Kennedy respectively, feel prepared going into the season.

“I feel really good. I’m in great shape, way better than I ever have felt before at this point in the season,” Durin said.

There are ten Xavier boys swimmers who swim for Washington and Kennedy High Schools, which is determined by  what district they live in. Both teams are looking forward to the season ahead of them. They are confident they have replacements for the seniors they lost, and they have high hopes for their end of season goals.

“At the beginning of the season we will struggle to find our footing, but we will have people step up and fill the shoes of those seniors,” Kramer said.

The Warriors next dual meet is December 5 at Washington, starting at 6 p.m. The Cougars will be at Dubuque Hempstead on December 5 at 6 p.m.
