Senior Jacob Fulton was recognized for his accomplishments in bowling by being named KCRG’s Athlete of the Week. Fulton, a four-year varsity bowler, has knocked down a total of 2904 pins this season, averaging 207.4 points a game and has a series average of 414.9. “Jacob is a great leader for the team,” Coach Camacho said. “He is one of only three guys on the team that have been on varsity all four years.” For the last three matches, Fulton has led the Saints in total score, earning himself the title of Athlete of the Week. “I was surprised I won,” Fulton said. “It is a great honor to be nominated and to be chosen.” Bowling has been Fulton’s favorite sport for a long time. “Bowling has always been my sport of choice,” Fulton said. “It is something that you can achieve by yourself. Your score is your score, and there is no one else to blame if it is not a great score.” In the fall, Fulton plans to attend Clarke University in Dubuque to continue his bowling career. Fulton and the bowling team will be in action at May City Bowl on Friday, January 20 against Iowa City West at 3:45 p.m. Maddix Stovie Sports Co-Editor
