Saints to Panther

Hope Schulte

It’s hard for me to imagine the person who wore a pink bow way too big for her along with a predictable matching pink dress to her first day of preschool is the same person who will be graduating this month.

While I have spent 15 years in the Xavier Catholic School System, it feels like it has gone by in the blink of an eye. I remember playing games at the Spring Carnival at St. Jude, sliding down massive snow forts at St. Ludmila, participating in elimination tournaments at LaSalle and even signing up for freshman classes at Xavier, all like it was yesterday. I’m a homebody, so it is hard for me to imagine leaving behind the school system that shaped me into the person I am today.

The only way I can think of to comfortably say goodbye to something I love is by showing my appreciation.

So, thank you Holy Family for allowing me to have so much fun throughout the years and for bestowing in me a love for education.

Thank you Xavier for allowing me to grow in numerous ways and for blessing me with awesome friends and teachers I’ve been fortunate to meet as a Saint. The fun memories I’ve made in activities like newspaper, cheerleading, cross country, soccer and other extracurriculars are ones I will always hold close to my heart.

Thank you to all the friends I have made throughout the years for being there for me and for always making me smile and laugh.

Thank you Reggie, Bryce and Quinn for being the best big brothers a sister could ask for. Thank you mom and dad for being my rocks and being models of faith and love.

Thank you Xavier Catholic School System, for allowing me to go from a Saint to a Panther.
