Dear Xavier

Kate Burns

Dear Xavier, thank you for everything you have given me the past four years. There are endless memories and people I could thank you for, but for the sake of time, I’m just going to mention a few.

To start off, I want to thank you for giving me my three best friends, the three people who I am going to miss the most, the Poisonous Predators (don’t ask). Kya, thank you for matching my energy and creating so many inside jokes. Maggie, thank you for being by my side since preschool and sharing many memories with me. Rylee, thank you for giving me advice and for being down for late night drives. You’re three of the most amazing people in the world and I’ll forever cherish our friendships.

Next, I would like to say thank you, Xavier, for all the memories you have given me. There are countless moments I could list, but specifically, I would like to thank you for Kairos 42. This was one of the best weekends of my life, not only becoming closer to God, but also to six amazing seniors. Nick, Jack, Elyse, Sam, Ella, and Avery, you guys are family and nothing will ever change that.

Finally, I want to thank you for all the mentors you have given me throughout my four years of high school. I have learned so much through the adults I have crossed paths with. Whether that be through my marketing internship, my classroom teachers or my involvement in Campus Ministry, I have learned life long lessons that I will carry with me forever.

I want to thank you for preparing me for my future and everything there is to come. I’ve never been so sad to leave something behind in my life, but I know everything will turn out great because of all these blessings I’ve been given.
