Disney’s girl worth fighting for is back at it with a live-action remake of Mulan, streaming on Disney+. On September 4, 2020, Disney released the Mulan live-action remake. This movie has been long awaited and fans were so excited to see Mulan once again with many other memorable characters alongside her. The movie was a huge hit and brought back childhood memories for all, including myself.

Unfortunately, the beloved Mushu was not added into the 2020 film due to storytelling purposes. The audience can still have a good laugh regardless of Mushu being in the film or not.

Disney unfortunately only released the Mulan live-action remake on Disney+ with an additional fee of $30. With this premier access, subscribers to Disney+ are able to have unlimited streaming. Disney plans to release the Mulan live-action remake to all Disney+ subscribers on December 4, 2020.

Although fans are excited to hear the news about this new movie, there is some controversy about non-Asian directors, screenwriters and costume designers. Culturally, it would have been interesting to have a Chinese influence on the film, considering the movie takes place in China and does not have any American history.

Although the controversy prevails, the production team did an outstanding job of creating the action film, making it enjoyable for those who are still kids at heart and for the younger audience as well. The movie is full of action packed moments that will keep you on your toes as well as lines that will have you laughing for hours. So let’s get down to business and watch Mulan.
