Wherever I go

Cate Tucker

As I look back on my four(ish) years as a Xavier Saint, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of joy and love. I have met so many new people along the way who have helped shape the person I am today. They taught me lessons not only about life, but about myself as well. Given the current circumstances, I was unable to properly thank the teachers, classmates and teammates of mine, so why not use my senior article to express how much they mean to me.

First, I would like to thank the teachers who made their classrooms like a second home to me. Whether it was because I enjoyed your company or I was struggling with the subject, I found myself surrounded by life-long mentors who changed me for the better. You not only helped me grow as a student, but as a person, and I can’t thank you all enough.

To my JLab family, thank you for everything. Whether it was Jack Delaney showing me Tik Toks, Grace Ries sharing new music with me, or Anna Schenkel and Hope Schulte speaking in British accents, you guys never failed to put a smile on my face. The JLab is one of the hardest goodbyes I didn’t know I would be making so suddenly, but the emails from Mrs. Augustine and memories I have made remind me that I will always have a part of room 226 with me.

To Bean, Jansen, Maddo and Lizzy: you guys are some of the strongest runners I know and I can’t wait to see you guys tear up the cross country course these next few years. Thank you for being not only the best teammates but the best buddies too; I will miss you guys more than words can describe.

Thank you to my parents, Joe, Maggie, Caroline and Lauren for always being there for me. I would be nowhere without your constant support and love, you guys are the best support system I could’ve ever asked for.

To Megan Meyer, who is sunshine in the form of a human, thank you for always radiating your positivity in every situation. I am so incredibly grateful to have a friend like you.

Lastly, thank you Xavier for making my high school years one to remember. Wherever I go, I will forever and always be a Xavier Saint.
