A member from one of today’s biggest rap groups just released his first solo album. Offset, a member of the group Migos, released his first solo album FATHER OF 4 on February 22. A couple 0f months ago, the other members of Migos, Takeoff and Quavo, released their own solo albums, making Offset’s the last to drop. Fans have been anticipating this album for quite some time because once Quavo and Takeoff both dropped their albums, people assumed Offset would drop one as well.
Offset officially announced he would be releasing an album in December and the hype grew. Without giving any release date, fans became anxious waiting for this project to come out. A few months later, Offset released the single “Red Room” and announced the release date for his new album. When the album finally came out, it’s safe to say it lived up to the hype. The album was number one on Apple Music and the Billboard Top 100, and it made up for the disappointment fans received from Takeoff’s and Quavo’s albums.
This album contains 16 songs, with only one being a single. Offset has a wide variety of features on the album including J Cole, Gunna, CeeLo Green, Travis Scott, and even his wife, Cardi B. There are seven songs that really stand out on this album, which is impressive for an album this size. The best songs are “How Did I Get Here,” ”Lick,” “North Star,” “Legacy.” The biggest downfall is the fact that many of the songs sound similar. Overall, it is a pretty good project and definitely stands out from Takeoff’s and Quavo’s albums. 7/10.
